What's changed:

minor bug fixes, including metadata handling change.
collections can now be replicated recursively.

inQ 3.3.1

What's changed:

It works with SRB 3.3.1

inQ 3.3

What's changed:

It works with SRB 3.3

inQ 3.2.0

Here's a summary of What's changed:

inQ 3.2.0 is compatible with SRB 3.2.0.

the 'CPU bug' has been fixed - inQ no longer grabs all free cycles when transfers are initiated.

some other minor stuff I don't remember. =)

Drag and drop downloads of large files or collections still isn't recommended - it's better to use the up and download buttons. The reason is because drag and drop downloads require communication with Windows Explorer (your desktop), which for some reason isn't multithreaded on the Explorer side - explorer effectively waits while the transfer is in progress. The result is your desktop hangs, but the taskbar being a different process or thread, is fine. It would be much better if I could callback Explorer when the transfer is complete but alas, there seems to be no way to do that. I am reaching beyond MSDN and my MS Press books to dig deeper into the OLE API references (I will have to find them somewhere) - until then, hang tight and remember I'm on the case! =)

inQ 3.1.0

Here's a summary of What's changed:

inQ's so smart it skipped a grade. Now we're 3.1.0 - funny, we've caught up to SRB!

inQ now supports the Zones feature found in SRB 3.x. It also makes this version incompatible with previous versions of SRB.

The new inQ also supports bulk file transfers! Whenever you download or upload a collection, the bulk-transfer mechanism will now be used in place of the standard mechanisms.

I fixed the problem with drag n drop downloads taking so long and stealing up a few more cycles than they should have been... =)

I still haven't updated the manual. My apologies.

inQ 1.2

Here's a summary of What's changed:

SRB 2.0:

inQ 1.2 is a minor upgrade from 1.1 and is only offered for SRB 2.0. Many of the changes from inQ 1.1 reflect added features or internal SRB API changes from SRB 1.1.8. (SRB 1.1.8 users need not feel left out! =))

RIGHT-CLICK MENUS:

Okay, I lied, SRB 1.1.8 users can feel left out. =) inQ 1.2 features right-click, or context-sensitive menus typically found in other Windows applications. You may find these menus a useful substitute for the icon bars or pull-down menus.

inQ 1.1

Here's a summary of What's changed:

RECURSIVE ACCESS CONTROL:

Recursive Access Control has been implemented. When the access control dialog is selected on a collection (as opposed to a dataset), a checkbox labeled "recurse subcollections" appears. Checking the box before you perform an add, remove, or modify will modify the access permission of the selected collection, as well as all of its children. Recursively modifying an access permission will add the permission to all children which do not have the permission, as well as reset any exisiting permission for the specific user and domain to the new value.

METADATA ENTRY:

The metadata entry dialog bar is gone. (Good riddance, I always hated that thing. =)) Instead, when you click on an existing metadata value, an edit field will appear! Pressing the new command button labeled "New Metadata" will cause an edit field to appear in the attribute column of the metadata window.

RENAME:

The horrible rename button is gone. Collections and datasets can now be renamed by clicking on an already-selected item. Note that this is different from double-clicking - it's two single clicks, spaced by a pause. For those familiar with renaming files in Windows Explorer or on their desktop by clicking on the icon's label, this is the same thing.

TOOLBARS:

The toolbar icons have been rearranged such that internet-explorer-like features are placed in more familiar positions, while SRB commands have been moved entirely to the movable dock on the side. This value of this change is most subjective and any comments on icon placement will be greatly appreciated. =)

REFRESH:

The refresh button is here! =)

BUGFIXES:

A couple of bugs have been fixed, including a case where dragging and dropping one collection onto another did not update the treeview.
